my style

No more lousy grip and grin shots for work soul-sucking my creativity; it's time for college. My style is candid, with all framing done in camera, and no fucking planning. Do or die, no after image processing or cropping. Lower the res a bit for devArt and go on my way shooting more. Tried I did, very hard too, to be artsyfartsy. It ain't me. It looks good on the rest of you but I get bored when not shooting. 20,000 images later I only put a few here. The Navy took it out of me. This is the first time i've really felt that creative edge. Just me and my Digilux 2 now.

I have a new camera...I felt constrained by my old and had been using Nikon D1s at work....Now I use the Leica Digilux 2. Amazing lens.

so i hopped on the train yesterday for a 10 hour ride to Venice, Italy. the yearly 'carnivale' is going on and i wanted to take pictures, take in the sights, and take in the alcohol. i left at 10pm and arrived at 530 am. nothing here opens until 10 so i am stuck walking around freezing my ass off for quite a while. finally everything gets started and then i see this sign and i shit myself. it says in italian something to the effect of, "national rail strike for 24 hours 9pm-9pm"

ok this is lovely i cant make it back to work on time monday if i dont leave NOW so just 3 hours after the 10 day long carnival starts i have to get back on the train for anohter 10 hour ride home.

i got some lovely pictures but %#$# that sucks
